We're from turkey. In august, we're planning to go to spain then to portugal for 10 days. But we couldnn't decide the route. We'll first go to spain, then to canary islands, and then to portugal. We want to go to beaches, sightseeings, historical places etc. (not to museums =) ) can you give us some route advice?
First of all, do you realise that Canary Islands are not close AT ALL from Spain? To get there, you have to take a plane. Just to give you an idea of where they are, just facing the coast of Southern Morocco, closer to MAuritania than to Spain!
And if you only have 10 days I don't recommend that at all.
Depending on where you are landing, you can follow various routes. If you are arriving to Barcelona, spend about 2 days there minimum. Then take a plane or bus or train (depending on budget) to Madrid, and at least 2 days in here as well.
Even if I am from the north and love it, I think that if you are going to go to Portugal it is more convinient for you to go to the south, Seville, for example for about 2 more days. Then relax is Cadiz for another 2 days i.e.(great unspoiled beaches in the Coast of Cadiz and Huelva). From there you can easily access Portugal and end your trip in Lisbon? for another 2 days. That makes 10 days in total.

thank you so much for the reply. after my search about canary, now, i agree with you. i guess, i have to go to barcelona to go there. (or any of the islands ie: ibiza)
here is my route:
5-cadiz ( going from seville is better than going from granada. am i right? )
6- seville ( i guess, there is no way to go from cadiz to lisboa )
8- some places in portugal (we've not decided yet)
is this a "logical" route?
