Hi, a few friends and I are wanting to stay in valencia during La Tomatina, but it seems everything is booked up. Can anyone recommend any towns nearby which may have accommodation or any chaepish hostels/camp grounds/hotels that have something left....?
Everything booked in Valencia? Are you sure?
You can try this mad suggestion: Castellon. It is 60 Km away (1 hour by train and 5.80 € return ticket). You can take the chance to visit Benicassim, Oropesa and Peñiscola. They are highlights in the spanish mediterranean coast.
I've used http://www.moveandstay.com, it's pretty cool website, provided a lot of list . I think it's can help u.
Try it!!!....you'll like it
Else, try hostelworld.com, and remember that reservations are cancelled all the time, so fully booked now may be all available tomorrow.
Last april I slept here :
cheap hotel located close to city centre (plaza del Ayuntamento) . the room are little bit small, there's no breakfast included in the price. It's clean. we paid 49.80 eur for a double room with private bathroom (probably during festivals it will cost more).
reservation is by fax.
