I only saw this forum in the list today; I reckon that most of you already know me from my environmental lectures against flying in various forums, and from the wonderful though not always cristal-clear travel advice I give :-)
I'm Niels, a 28-year-old linguist from Amsterdam. I travel to South America regularly (yes, by plane. Does that stop me from confronting other people with their flying behaviour? Not in the least :-)), for work as well as leisure. I've learnt to live with myself, and I'm quite happy to see that some of you have, too :-)
Since I have a rather good memory for stupid little facts, you will find me being able to advice on specific transportation details, border crossings, feasible itineraries, road conditions, etc. Furthermore, you can ask me anything about Buenos Aires; what I don't know myself, I will look up for you somewhere. My advice usually comes with a lot of patronising advice and philosophical considerations; it's all in your best interest, really... LOL
My third little project here is to make people understand that Amsterdam is about more than just sex and soft drugs, and that enforcement of rules (esp. regulations concerning immigration and customs) in Europe is not something to be taken lightly.
You'll be hearing from me a lot. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid :-)
