I've been thinking about "the right" destination for so long now, that I just have to admit, that I need help...
As almost everybody here, I just LOVE travelling and so I'm really surprised, that I can't find the right trip for me now... I saved some money, quit my summer job and now I have about 6-7 weeks for travelling...BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO!!!! I wanted to go to New Zealand, but I soon figured out that august and september is not the best time to go there... Then I had the idea of going to Laos, but that's not possible because of the monsoon...
I'm a 20 year old austrian girl, have already some experiences with travelling (Australia, South America, Canada...) and I'm looking for a great trip...I would be really glad if you could recommend me something!!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
Im guessing that you want good weather! Have you thought about Thailand or Vietnam - you may get hit with some rains but lm sure that wouldnt dampen your trip too much!
Write down some places you would like to go, throw them in a hat...and go with whichever one you pick out!
Have you thought about maybe going to Asia?
Thailand is definitely a great place to travel especially if you have already traveled to South American and Canada (although as a Canadian I would suggest coming back and going through B.C. or the Rockies).
Maybe even Vietnam if you were looking at Laos.
Hahaha, i just looked at another post and it looks like someone has the same taste as me!

You cant go wrong with Bali... just a shame about all the bombings their tho
Thanks for your ideas!!! I absolutely want to visit Thailand one day, but I guess at that time of the year(august, september) it's really crowded and I'm looking for something more quiet...but I like the idea of going to Vietnam... ;-)
smt completely different would be to go to Canada or Scandinavia; august and september are good months to go up north.
Why not Nepal?Himalayan kingdom and Mt.Everest country
Central America! Guatamala and Honduras a great experience. You arrive in Tegucigalpa, go to Santa Cruz de Sul, then head t othe Islands (Utila cheapest by far) easy and cheap to get around, great people, learn to dive, stay in a really cheap place on the beach... Honduras everytime!
I'm jealous. I would love to have 6-7 weeks and some cash to go away. Asia, Asia, Asia. It's inexpensive, culturally rich beyond imagine, and friendly. Just pick any one of the countries. I would go with a mix of Cambodia and Thailand. Tons of temples, rice paddies, rain forests, villages, friendly locals the list goes on. Your money will go far as well. Like others have said the monsoon in Asia apparently isn't like the monsson in India. I heard in India the monsoon clobbers you with rain. In Asia it's brief each day and then the sun peaks back out. Asia is the hot ticket now adays.
