im a first timer travelling alone..im jettin off tomz.. and im finding it hard to get excited.. im gettin butterflies because im not sure wot to expect.. i keep tellin myself that i'l be ok once im out there (south east asia/indochina). How/Wot did anyone else feel when they first travelled alone or is anyone feeling similar to me haha or is it just me..
Don't worry Andy, you will be fine. Quite normal to get jittery just before you go! Se Asia very popular at the mo, it wont be long before you meet other travellers and you will soon get into the swing of things.
Just think of how lucky you are!
Have a fabulous time, you wont regret it..ever! This is just the beginning..trust me!
thanks claire.. haha as long as its not me then
Yeah i think it'l be good.. suppose havin the world cup on helps to meet people!!
I'm off on my own in five weeks time for the first time. I've travelled quite a bit, but this is the first time on my own and I'm nervous as well, so i suppose it's quite normal
You will find almost everyone travelling alone or with companions get nervous with alsorts of reasons!
Once you are on your journey the nervousness will be replaced with excitement....think about all those new and wonderful experiences waiting for you...
All the very best, it will be fantastic!
a year ago, i wanted to come to England to experience the life and culture in Britain. bare in mind, i have never travelled outside my country Malaysia before, and Malaysia is half a world away from Europe. i was a nervous wreck because i was travelling alone and there were no relatives or friends in the UK. but once you come to the country, all the worries were eased because as you travel, you will meet similar people who are travelling alone and you might just tag along with them. the loneliness will dissipate and the wonder of exploring a new culture will overwhelm your senses.
I'm travelling alone too, starting this fall, and I'm really scared about it, but I know it will change my life. I guess that is what is keeping me excited despite being nervous.
So- you're definitely not the only one on here with that feeling...
