jef has indicated that this thread is about Italy

I would like to visit both towns from Florence. Is there any easy way via train or bus from Florence to be able to do in one day or must I do in 2 days

Heya Jef

I think you should be able to do it in a day. I have never been to Siena, but I travelled to
Pisa on my way to Florence via Train (thank you Eurail! lol) and the town is quite small. We
went to see the tower, took a couple snapshots, strolled the streets and had some gelato
and we were out of there in an hour and a half. Some people we met on our Europe trip
only spent 45 minutes there. So it all depends on how much you want to take in. And it
also depends how often the trains run and if they suit your time schedule. Now looking at
my trusty map of Europe Siena doesn't seem to be that far from Florence (Firenze on this
map, tee hee) so it should be doable if the train times are one your side!

Cheers,
Katie

PS: Don't forget to get take the obligatory snapshot of you holding up the leaning tower.
Yes its cheesy, but it must be done! lol

there are about 70 km between Firenze and Siena, and about 100 km between Firenze and Pisa. If you need timetables of trains, you can watch www.trenitalia.it
