hi, its me again

I'm considering to stay in the Knightsbridge hotel in melbourne but if I want to go clubbing in the CBD, would it be dangerous walking around the Fitzroy Garden?

Walking around the gardens at night would not be a problem at all. It's a very busy area and perfectly safe.
I probably wouldn't go walking through the middle of them alone at night if I was female because it would be very dark and deserted, but even that would be 99.99% safe.

Safety in numbers when going through dark and deserted areas at night, but as previously stated its a fairly busy area with loads of people about.
Fitzroy gardens a nice place to stroll through during the day time, i was in melbourne june 02, had a blast!

I would agree that Fitzroy gardens should be pretty safe at nighttime, but it could be a bit eeiry by yourself at nighttime, its quite large and full of possums and bats (at times).
Probably bit better for piece of mind to just walk straight down either Wellington pde or Albert st.

Hi there,
We stayed at the Knightsbridge for 7 days when we were in Melbourne. Although the rooms were a little small, they had everything that you would need and the staff were really friendly and helpful. (The walls are quite thin though - we were kept awake on numerous occasions)!!

We had no bother walking through the park at anytime, but probably wouldn't like to do it alone at night.
