My family and I are flying into Cleveland, OH and driving into the Niagra Falls area. We plan on alloting a day in the Niagra area then driving around the country side. Where will we get the most bang for our buck? Do we head toward Toronto and that area or towards the NW region? Etc...
Would we have enough time to take the ferry (Tobermory?) up to Sudbury and come back south towards Ontario when it is time to come home?
We would like to see as much natural beauty as possible but also visit the shops and restaurants as well.
What do you suggest and what is a must?
Thanks for any help.
You must visit Niagara-on-the-Lake! They have great wine-tasting tours and beautiful scenery. You could also drive out to Stratford - which is home of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival and tons of beautiful scenery. If you're into amusement parks, there's always Canada's Wonderland out near Toronto. Niagara Falls has Marineland, but when I went (some 10 years ago, mind) it's was pathetically small and dull.

You can do Niagara to Tobermoray in a day if you get up a bit early and have dinner on the drive home.
- Hiking on the niagara escarpment (check the web for trails near the falls)
- Downtown Toronto
- Hamilton Warplane Heritage museum.
