I have the same issue! It was quite stressful finding that I had to pay to use bathrooms, even sometimes in restaurants, and malls! You can probably find them quite easily, just keep a bunch of change with you.

The only place I would really have a worry is in Italy. I recommend keeping a pack of tissue with you because sometimes there is no paper.

That is what I thought too, until I visited a McDonalds in Cannes, on the "promenade des Anglais". You had to use your reciept from your meal to get which usually equals a clean washroom, but it was filthy. I thought they had some sort of international McDonalds code that says they have to check the bathrooms every 15 minutes...There was days worth of grime everywhere, pretty gross. The self-cleaning toilets in Germany are pretty cool, at most gas stations you pay 50 cents to use them, then you get a little ticket to use in the store. Alot of times in France, there are pulic toilets, but it's just a little room with a hole in the ground, I'm not even kidding.
