I stayed in Oxford Hotel for 1 month. It is the worst hotel i ever stayed! 4 am in the morning, the whole 4th floor (including my room) was very warm. It was because the aircond for that floor broke down. It happened for few times.:(

I have had no problem with Asia Rooms. They can take a little while to contact you back but once confirmed, everything has been fine. I even verified with the first hotel that I used them for that the reservation was paid and it was. They did have a smart thing at the bottom of my voucher. Directions to your hotel in the language of the country (In my case Chinese).

Koms is easily pleased if a hotel booking site made his trip 'absolutely wonderful'!! And his posting style is suspiciously similar to Ujjwal - are you two related in some way other than just the sheer joy of booking a hotel through asiarooms?

FYI I just used the Travellerspoint accommodation booking thingy for the first time for my hols in August - I'll let you know how reliable it is afterwards ;)

I double checked some things and removed three of the postings in this thread because they were made by people working in a marketing company, no doubt hired by a certain other company.

Fingers crossed You should be fine of course (just to clarify, it's not the same system as the asiarooms one!) I've used it several times and I know Peter, my parents and Eric have. And there's quite a few threads lying around about other members who have used it too.

That said, and I think that should probably also be mentioned with regards to Asiarooms or ANY other accommodation booking system out there, there is always a human element involved with online bookings at the moment the booking arrives at a property and they have to enter it/register it properly in their own system. In 99% of the cases I'd say this goes fine, but there is that small percentage that slips through the cracks (new staff etc.). Then there's also the cases where they register it but mistype a name/number and subsequently if you call to verify they can't find it (those are frustrating, argh!). If you have booked for a really busy period, it's probably a good idea to double check with the property that all is ok after booking.

I've never actually had a problem myself, but I've seen emails come through over the years where a person somewhere at a property had made a mistake and of course the booking agency really has no control over this once they've submitted the booking (in numerous formats generally) and made payments etc.
