For a Chinese couple the answer was easy - they applied for a tourist visa to Ireland just in time for their baby to be born there. As such the baby acquired Irish citizenship and thus EU-citizenship, granting them residency and work permit rights in Ireland and all of the EU.

Since I already have an EU passport, Canada, the USA or Oz sounds appealing for such a scheme.

my friend's sister was born in saudi arabia, and i've always been so jealous... i think that would be so cool to say you were born in a country so exotic...

but personally i would like a country in africa... maybe ethiopia..

Somewhere with sunshine, sea views, and sand in my feet, and a communal set up to help me with the kid!!

Seriously, would have to be either QLD because of its beautiful weather or Auck close to my family and friends who would love to see me maternal

Then the thought of somewhere exotic sounds fab too!

Such a mental topic when I cant even manage to keep a relationship (!) but would have to be England - obviously really.

Our passport's the best one in the world and my child would have that passport for sure and I wouldnt have it any other way. I am pure English and despite not having another language as most Europeans have I am def proud of my country, how I was educated (and though its far from perfect) our NHS as I wouldnt be walking now without it...

But I am also realistic and know its not a perfect place so in this fantasy lad - by then I will probably be married to some georgous hunk of a foreign guy (British guys havent been too kind to me!) and so my child will have dual nationality with somewhere a little safer.

Oh! and my child would be encouraged to travel and learn another language!

... just as my mummy did with me

i think it would be cool to have your baby in Hollywood lol... yes i know theres no hospitals there just put some towels in your day pack lol. A world famous landmark would be great to like the Sydney opera house or on top of the empire state building lol

On an aircraft flying over the pacific ocean.
When the plane landed i'd run like hell and hope the airline would take pity on it and give it free travel for the rest of it's life.
