Is there any other border crossing from thailand to Cambodia. We are travelling in the Northeast part of Thailand and want to visit Angkor Wat.
On a map of Cambodia I see another crossing at Kap CHoeng -> Phang, but I haven't read anyone about this option. So far I only read about the Aranyaprathet -> Poipet one.

Can anyone tell us about this?

RenCel ;)

Google; 'cambodia overland border crossings' and you get a helpful website. It says that you can cross at: Chong Jom, Thailand into O'Smach, Cambodia. Also a crossing at: Chong Sa Ngam, Thailand, into Anlong Veng, Cambodia. I have not crossed at either place myself. The website does say you can get your visa at the border. Good Luck.

Hi Renee,

You can do it at kap choeng (T)/O Smach (C)..about 70km from Surin city. u might some interest in the Chong Chom border market, which opens 7am...there is an immigration office...try this phone.........044 559166.I didnt go thru much hassle (ASEAN visa-free). it's an international crossing, open since 2002.

The Chong Sa Ngam-Anlong Veng crossing is the best entry point (if you are in Sisaket area, entry point for Preah Vihear Temple site on the cambodian side)to get to Angkor wat... two to three hr to get to SR. This stretch is fun for me!!!!
