This might seem a daft question but is easy enough to find a hostel on arrival or is it better to bk b4 arriving? as I am checking out hostels on the net but I am thinking maybe turn up there when I arrive?!??!
Some of the hostels offer free pick-up from the airport so can anybody advise going about doin this too.
Can you tell I am just starting out with all my research??
p.s I used to dye my hair blonde and I am quite sure the dye has seeped in under my scalp along the course of time (def no offense to real blondes) being a real brunnette I have no excuse?? hehe
Thanks for your email about the volunteer work. Ive ordered the brochure for the over 30s!!
Regarding hostels in Sydney, Ive done a bit of research via this site and been recommended the glenferrie lodge and the Yha central or in Glebe.
Its probably a good idea to book the first few nights somewhere quietish and small until you settle in maybe.
Join the Yha and then you get a slight discount, also the hostels look good. They also give recommendations in the Lonely planet book.
Not sure about the airport pick ups, its not that expensive to get a bus from the airport to the city anyhow. some hostels seem to offer free email and breakfast which could be quite handy..
Hope that helps
There's an accommodation board the airport in Sydney: choose a hostel pick up the phone and punch the number and voila!
Bookonline through hostelworld.com
VIP backpackers website which (I think) is www.backpackers.com allow you to book online.
If you're arriving around xmas or after New Year I would book in advance as Sydney hostels are full over this time.
