Hi
Me and my girlfriend are hoping to do a trek in chiang mai as part of our RTW trip. We have looked at a few, and we think that this one sounds nice:
http://www.eaglehouse.com/ (under trekking)
But we want to make sure that we do one that is as moral as possible, no animal cruelty/disrespect to the culture etc.
Could anyone recommend one? or comment on our choice? We are looking for a 3-4 day trek.
Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks all

You'd be best doing a nature tour. Check out chiangmai-online.com

Thanks for the reply mikeyBoab
So would you not reccommend the one we've looked at?
Thanks

Hi Shane,
If travel agencies & operators dont appeal to you (cos of obvious reasons!), maybe you could try a more personalised trip with a cultural anthropologist (re your comment: But we want to make sure that we do one that is as moral as possible, no animal cruelty/disrespect to the culture etc.)...who can help create for you (and handle) a trip anywhere between beautiful and unexplored Nan Province, north towards the Golden Triangle Area of Chiang Saen & Chiang Khong. This is the home of many mountain peoples and friendly, distinct cultures. So send me a PM if you wish for his e-mail.
Alternatively you can try this site: http://www.earthfoot.org/places/th005.htm
