I'm planning to go to Vegas for 1 week and was hoping if anyone can answer my silly question. I'm thinking of watching some Cirque du Soleil shows there, and since there's not enough time to catch all of them, I wanna watch 2 shows in one night.
For example, Zumanity which is held at New York-New York Hotel is very close to MGM Grand that shows Ka. So my silly question would be, can I just cross the road to the other hotel by walking??? Is it legal? Would there be a walking bridge, zebra line, a underground tunnel or a free shuttle? I feel that it's a waste of money to take a cab when it's just across the road, that's all.
And what about along the Vegas Strip? Like Bellagio crossing to Paris?
Yep, all you have to do is cross the road.
Have a great time! And let us know how the shows were...I have been wanting to see some Cirque!
At the corner you are referring to there are four overhead bridges across all four crossings. For those who may be in wheelchairs, there are elevators to get you to the top and back down to the bottom at all of them. And yes, the MGM and New York, New York are right across the street from each other. Also at this corner are the Tropicana Hotel and the Excaliber Hotel.
From the Excaliber there is a monorail that goes to the Luxor and to Mandalay Bay (although you have to walk through the Excaliber to get to it). And from the MGM, the monorail is out the back of the hotel--and it goes to the Paris Las Vegas, the Flamingo, the Venetian, and over to the Las Vegas Hilton.
Oh, forgot to mention--there is a traffic light where Paris and Bellagio are across from each other--but no overhead bridges.
and remember... what happens in vegas, stays in vegas! Have fun on your trip.
