Probably the best order would be:

Fly to Iguazu
Bus to Salta
Bus to Mendoza
Fly to Buenos Aires

Airlines, there´s Aerolineas Argentina and LAN Chile. AA charge around AR$350 to Iguazu and LAN Chile AR$250 for example. However I´m not sure if these prices are available outside Argentina. AA charge more when booked outside the country. If they seem expensive book them when you arrive, but you may need to be flexible on dates as they can be fully booked. There´s always an overnight bus as a backup option!

Hope this helps,

Steve

I think coaching it around is a better option. it is much cheaper and on the overnight coach you can get an cama seat which reclines all the way back into a bed. so it is very comfortable to travel on overnight coaches in Argentina and cheaper than flying.

but of course flying will get you to your destination in a much shorter time than a coach will, but you miss out on the scenery along the way - the real beauty that is Argentina!
