I need to know how easy is it to get budget accommodation in Singapore. I am planning a short trip (2 days only) next week and haven't booked a hotel yet. Can I get a budget hotel easily once I land at the airport? Please let me know soon! Thanks!
[ Edit: Sorry, no personal details please. ]
Hi mobile. It's the tourist season - book in advance. Check out http://hotels.online.com.sg/budgethotels.asp
I actually disagree with the above statement for booking.
Your better off booking a hotel from the hotel booking service at Changi airport.
It is cheaper then walking straight in to a hotel and doing it yourself, usually by $10 SGD per night.
A cheap area would be Geylang "the rd light district" it is not that bad at all, no truble and cheap. Try the Fragrance Ruby down Lorong 20 it has HBO air con and nice sized beds and bathrooms. Also it is very close to the MRT station.
Thanks for the advice Mikey and Adrian!
you could try looking here
for some more ideas.
you can also try hotel 81. THey have several hotels ard singapore.
Can I ask what is your budget? It will be easier for me to advice since budget to you may be SGD 100 which can find you a very decent hotel.
My hotel budget is about 100 SD. So nothing above 40-50 D per night would do.
Hotel 81 has the most budget hotels over S'pore from SGD30 per night with clean rooms etc email to : firstname.lastname@example.org for special first timers.
There are many budget accommodations in Singapore - from hotels to hostels.
I stayed in a hostel in a nice neighbourhood in Chinatown, called A Travellers' Rest-Stop.
And on my last trip I stayed at Robertson Quay Hotel - they give generous discount on the Internet.
There is also a hotel chain called Hotel 81, with hotels in/near places of interest in Singapore.
7th Story Hotel is a centrally located near Burgis Corner, i think its on Nothwood Road! its clean, friendly and pretty cheap!
its in the SE ASIA LP, sorry i cant be more precise on prices!
