HI all.

Two friends and I are planning on travelling up the East Coast from Sydney to Cairns and are not sure whether to use the Greyhound or OZ experience. We will be stopping off at all the usual backpacker stops like hostels etc. Does anyone have any ideas which is best, so far I have heard Greyhound are better, does anyone disagree?

After reaching Cairns we will have to fly back to Sydney using Virgin Blue, does anyone know how good they are?

Greyhound are more of just a bus service that will pick you up and drop you off. With Oz Experience they will tell you information on the mic along the way you will meet a load more backpackers and it would generally be more fun! I went on one of those trips in NZ last year and had a ball!

If your 18 and looking to get pissed everynight and sleep the days then go with Oz experience. If you want to do other things then greyhound or Premier are a better bet. They also travel through the night so you don't have to spend the night at some hostel they (oz exp) designate..
