Hi im going to london at the end of the year and was just wondering if anyone knew any good bus tour companies for the city. There seem to be a few out there such as the original tour with the double decker buses and then the big bus tours. Can anyone suggest a good tour...is anyone better than the other?
Thanks
Danielle

I took the Original tour last time and it was much better than the other one I had taken.. I think that was Big Bus.
I loved the fact that you have a live guide on the bus so you get the info in all the right places, even if you get a slow driver or something.

Thanks...why do you say it was better than the big bus tour? Is there much difference in prices???

I really like the fact that you have a person on the bus telling you about the stuff that is happening around you, than listening to it from a tape. The guide I got was hilarious and joked the whole time so the tour was even better.

I've done both, and the Original Tours with the live guides was better. Everything else, prices, etc were about the same as each other.

I think one or maybe both of these companies do boat tours of the Thames.

There are also good day trips from London that some companies do. They are convenient, but they do spend a great deal of time picking up/dropping off people to/from their hotels, which eats into the actual tour time a bit.
