Hokay...

Again will try not to get too technical being I am a trained Journo but the UK paper wise (and yeah I hate to say this) but it IS The Sun.

Shocking as it sounds the news in the sun is basically the first three or four paragraphs of the Broadsheets (the only difference is that the broadsheet will give you more facts and detail) but the basic story- the one you NEED to know... the Sun tells it condensed, quick, direct and extreemly cleverly written.

It is all t!ts and ar$e and extreemly basic but it does it's job.

It gets the people in Britian to pick up a paper and read knowing the attention span of majority of people, reading habits (eg: before work on the tube, on a lunch break etc) and things that attract (sex obviously)

The Journo's at The Sun are really good with English and can tell you the basic story - knowing if its really important to you then you'll probably be watching the news or listening to it on radio.

Also it has been so popular as a format that even the broadsheets are copying it... seriously a good paper - Clever bloke that Murdoch fella - oh yeah and anyone who is impressed by this slight run down - I NEED A JOB ;)

The Sun is a politacly biased peper, that's only real value is if you run out of toilet paper (taking out the tits)

Does the Sun still have Dear Deidre? .

If so, then it gets my vote

Teah, as far I know it's still got it.
But i still maintain that the Daily and Sunday Sport is the only neutral paper with the real stories, it doesn't pretend to be anything else than it is, unlike some other red tops.

I like Clarín; it has a rather good international section, esp. with SA headlines.

Exactly why i loved Metro - plus its free and it allows you to do that very London thing of completely ignoring every other living being on the tube.

but i've gotta agree that the onion is fantastic - personally i love the red meat cartoons.

Really depends where I am :

UK : Metro and the Daily mail for gossip
France : Le Monde
Andorra : gosh difficult we have three to choose from Diari d´Andorra because I got it at work
Tahiti : dont bother with the papers as I spend my time under the water. Hehehehe
