I'm planning a trip in April or so, which will include Paris and Amsterdam. We'll be there for two weeks, so I'd like to fit in one other city, within four or five hours by train of these two cities.
I don't want to go to London or Bruges; otherwise I'd appreciate suggestions on places not too far from Paris and the 'dam.
Hamburg, Copenhagen, Luxembourg . . . .
I'd go for Hamburg.
I've heard good things about Cologne, too, but don't know much about it. Any recommendations will be appreciated.
I've never been to Cologne, only driven past it, but that part of Germany is absolutely amazing. It's a shame you don't have more time or I'd suggest spending a while going around the Schwarzwald.
I've been told Cologne is nice, but, isn't it a bit out your way?
Cologne or Bonn.
Hamburg's a fair distance.
