Hi all,

Need some advice - im going around the world with my girlf in September and im a bit concerned about money.... I have some student debts still which i have managed to clear a lot of but i still have some credit card debts which im beginning to get scared about. I have planned to save about £3500-£4000 for the trip {flights insurance etc paid for) and we are going to the Fiji, Rarotonga, Tahiti, NZ, OZ, Malaysia, Thailand and India. We are spending 6months in OZ working so will this money be enough? - or should i take less and spend more clearing my debts before i go.

Any ideas?

You don't say how long your going be away or how long your planning to be in each country (apart from working in oz).

Yeah - sorry - i forgot that small fact.

Im spending one week in each of the pacific islands.. then off to NZ in mid sept before heading to OZ just before xmas (Must say that the idea Xmas in 40 degree heat is an interesting concept and one i'm not too sure im looking forward to!) We depart oz around middle of may for malaysia and thailand from where we fly to india for the next three weeks or so.. back in blighty on 12 sept 2007.
