Apparently the Hooters chain is opening resturants in Sydney, with a plan to open 10 restaurants in Sydney in the short term.
Having never been to a Hooters (restaurant ), is it true that it's a restaurant basically staffed by large-breasted women?
Apart from the obvious drawcard, is it just a burgers and fries type of place? Also, what do you think of the "sexist" nature of these places?
On another note, we have "Chillis Texas Grills" in Sydney and they are abysmal.
its basically burgers etc, my cousin used to work in one and basically described it as mcdonalds with a twist, but basically its over priced food served by large breasted women, i don't see anything wrong with it at all to be honest, no one is forced to work or eat there, depending on the place some have unions etc, its a personal choice, also if i had to waitress i'd probably work there as the tips would be higher then a cafe etc,
Oh James you are asking for trouble on this one!!!
Ive wandered past a few Hooters in my time never gone in, although Paul has been strangely drawn to them - dont know why!! He will dance for joy when l tell him there's one opening in Sydney!!
I'm not meaning to ask for trouble - seriously.
I just want your opinion of the restaurants themselves as far as food, etc goes, then what you think about the waitresses as far as sexism or whatever goes.
I just read that they opened them in Sydney a few years back but it failed! Weird huh.
They don't have Hooters here in Montreal, but there's a large orange sign advertising a "Hooties" just down the road from where I used to live. I've always wondered if the waitresses were chestily-challenged girls who didn't quite make the cut...
Chain establishments are normally abysmal - that's why Hooters added jiggle to theirs. Hooters Air pulled out of the Rockford airport - it lasted all of about 6 months. (They flew to Vegas, Denver and Cancun.) Though, I never used their services, word has it the "waitresses" on the plane had to have the same attributes as the ones on the ground. (As I said, I didn't see them.)
I don't have a problem with them in reality. You have the choice of going in or going somewhere else. Women take exception to them because of the "sexist' nature and the waitresses complain about being just "sexual objects". My feeling is - what did you expect when applying for a job at a place named for breasts?? Please!!! They aren't the only work in town as Hooters does not set up businesses in areas with limited populations. If they didn't have clientele or people willing to work for them, they wouldn't be in business. I've never been in one, but that's been my choice.
They are famous for their chicken wings (and boobs) My sister loves to go there for the wings...Funny thing is, if you go to the Hooter's in Tucson. They are all seriously lacking in the 'T' department!
To each their own is the way I feel. I don't like eating out period. But I know people who eat breakfast/lunch/dinner out...it's just not for me.
i've been dragged to a hooters once or twice before.. not for the boobs, but for the wings.. and honestly, its just a regular restaurant. i mean, theres the whole 'hot waitress' thing and all, but probably becuase me and my friends aren't creepy perverts we didnt really think anything of it.
if you ask me, its pretty retarted. the only people who get sucked into the whole deal are way too horny way too out of touch middle aged guys who need to find something else to do.
heheh i guess thats a little harsh but its pretty true.
but really, it aint shit. its just a bad restaurant with good wings and hot waitresses. so what? nothin. thats what
