I am heading to Italy in a fortnight and will be staying in Florence for just over a month before heading north to Trento. I have an appartment in the centre of the city and would love some advice on those must-do/see things that perhaps are not mentioned in the guides - the sorts of things that give you a true "Firenzian" experience. Any suggestions welcome!
let's try going in Piazza Santo Spirito from 11 pm to 2-3 in the night, so many young people
Places to visit in Florence:
a) Duomo (The dome of Florence)
b) Pitti Palacec) Boboli Gardens
d) Uffizi Gallery (this has some of the finest works of famous art)
e) Galleria Academia (this is where Michaelangelo's masterpiece - David, is. Only look at the sculptures. Don’t waste your time with the paintings. They’re boring pre-renaissance stuff.)
Hope this helps.
