Like the others, I have never been asked to show an onward ticket. Recently though I have heard that some airlines will not allow you to board a flight to Bangkok unless you can show an onward ticket for within 30 days of arrival or a visa if you haven't got an onward ticket.

I'm not sure how true this is as I have always had a return ticket, but as my boyfriend and I will be flying into Bangkok next year on an RTW ticket and our flight home will be 6 months after we arrive we are a little worried!

Has anyone else of heard this or know what airlines insist on onward tickets?
