Tessa,

I don't know if you are partial to scenery, or educational, or some other type of attractions, but the Ozark Hills are neat. I am gathering from the fact that you mentioned a camper van that you appreciate scenery.

Branson has many campgrounds and RV parks with scenic campsites.

there is a directory of campgrounds for Branson, Missouri at www.ourbransontrip.com/directory/lodging/campground.php

Interstate 44 runs from St. Louis to Oklahoma City, but again that route might not be what you are after, I don't know.

hi tessa - picking a route across the country is hard... i assume you don't have years and years to spend on this trip, so you'll prolly have to choose either a northern or a southern route (unless you zigzag...). in any case, there will be stuff you have to miss. so, being the loyal montana native that i am, may i suggest a northern route that takes you across the big sky state? there are some beautiful national parks and lakes and stuff in western montana. the surrounding states aren't bad either. ;) yellowstone in wyoming and montana is fabulous, and the black hills in south dakota are def an attraction as well...
good luck and have fun!

Tessa,

I am sorry I can not help with your route as I have never driven across the country. I can say that it will depend what you want to see along the way.

Also, if you would like assistance with information in Los Angeles or anywhere in California, I can help you there. Good luck, and it's wonderful to hear you are living out your dream.

:) Sara

Tessa,
As I said on the other post, it all depends on where you land and if you rent/buy the camper van. PM me your basic plan and I will try to help. I have been in 49 of the states, only missing Alaska. Mike
