Hey,

I'm planning a trip to Rome with my girlfriend at the end of September.
Can anyone recommend a good (clean, fun and friendly) hostel in Rome close to the main sights?

Thanks! :)

My brother and I booked the les Artistes Hotel and Hostel for 2 nights. Looked good enough for me. not the cheapest but not nearly the most expensive

I stayed at Pop Inn Hostel, right next to the main railway station (Termini). The location of the hostel is very good, the prices are reasonable (about 30-40€/night/person), and the staff is superb!!! Warmly recommended! See http://www.popinnhostel.com for more information! :)

Have you checked out http://www.bugeurope.com/reviews/Italy/Rome/ for hostel reviews? I found it quite useful.

I stayed at Alessandro Palace Hostel and would call it acceptable, but it was nothing to write home about. It was clean and had everything I needed (except that hot water supply was somewhat erratic). The location was great.
