Hey. What alarm clock do people recommend. I have to get up
by certain times almost every morning unfortunatly to do something or catch a train/flight. I'm from Canada so my alarm clock wont plug in unless I get an adapter which I think is dumb just for this. Should I pick one up in Berlin when I get there or get one that takes batteries. Personally I dont trust alarms clocks as far as I can throw them( I think of the office when I say that)

Any advise?

Depends where you are staying - if in a hotel why not book an alarm call, most TVs have an alarm setting in hotels set that - l personally use my mobile/cell phone!

Until this last battery replacement when the function stopped working on my favorite one, I used my wristwatches, which both have an alarm function. I also agree with Purdy, if staying in a hotel - ask for a wake-up call. Most of them are automated now anyway. My other favorite - never needs a battery or an adaptor - is the small wind-up alarm clock. They still make them and are usually very cheap.

This place is not cheap, but gives you an idea of what is still available. I have seen the Westclox travel alarm clocks for about $15UDS.

I use an alarm clock which requires batteries. In addition, I set the alarm in my mobile phone, because I'm always afraid of not waking up on time if I'm travelling for work. If you're staying in a hotel, ask for a wake-up call, as Purdy said, or you can set the alarm in the hotel room - I'm sure there's one by the bed, along with the radio system.

Well this morning my alarm call was 2 cats outside my front door shreeching at first l thought it was a child crying but it was too early and an awful racket so l went out to look they were mid fight, a white cat was literally kicking the crap out of a black cat which l could see was trying to get away so l couldnt do nothing l felt sorry for the wee black cat (not my cat who was tucked up in bed!) so l had to seperate them!

So you could take 2 cats with you and let them fight and they will surely wake you up (it was 5.20am! which is WAY too early for a Saturday morning)!!!!

Why is there's that bad!! I can just see Isa now like a bar bouncer reading out the riot act to fueding moggies!!

Saw the white cat earlier on, walking about as if it owned the place the bugger, really was going for it with the poor black one! Its lucky it was me who went out as l love animals and wouldnt hurt them but l heard neighbours going on about them and wanting to drown them!!
