Ok.. I got 20 days in Chile.. Starting from the North.. I want to work my way down to Patagonia.
Yes, I will be flying to get to locations, etc. since I am speed travelling.
Can someone recommend an itinerary of CANT MISS places?
Let me know
fly down with LAN to Ushuaia or Punta Arenas,Puerto Montt, from there you can cross the Lagos to Bariloche/Argentina.(wonderfull trip)
You can also take a ferry to Puerto Montt, taks a few days if I'm not wrong.
Torres de Paine is a place to go,you can hike in this park and camp.
But,right now is winter in this aerea,COLD,COLD!!
Chile is much more expensiv then the other Southamerican Countrys.
5 years ago I went for about the same tim to Chili, 25 days or somehting. I focused on the north and south and only had 2 days in Santiago en 3 days in and around Puerto Montt.
Highlights of the North: Parc Nacional Lauca and the Atacama desert around San Pedro.
Highlights of the South: Ushuaia/Beagle Channel, Torres del Paine and the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina.
Don't miss that Moreno Glacier, that was the number one of my trip, Lauca was close second.
