I might have to make a chose between these two cities due to money restrictions. Which do you think has more to see and do etc???

I know they are almost opposites in terms of Culture so it is hard to compare them but which would you recommend in general??

Any help is much appreciated

That´s a very difficult question I lived in both of these cities and it will be a nightmare to have to choose between them.

To help us giving you an answer:

What are you looking for when travelling?
When are you going?
Do you like to walk?
Do you mind being in a country where noone speak your language?
Do you like museums?

I had to pick between the two a few years back, and I ended up choosing Paris because...well, it's Paris. It's also cheaper. But both cities are wonderful, so put the names in a hat and go with what you pick! ;)

Well, i'm from paris so you know my answer ^^
More seriously, paris is indeed cheaper than london and the food is way better ! But flo jo is right, french people in the street doesn't like to speak english and you will have to learn the basics of french to ask for your way... But, to be fair, most of us have the basics in english and we are not that impolite and unhelpfull so if you insist a bit, you will be understood...

how much time will you have??

I'd opt for Paris because I think it's sort of more concise and it just interests me more. (But then I can speak French just fine, so language is not a factor.)

If you're staying for a longer time (more time to find your way) London's fine.

Just think about what you would more want to say when you're back "I've been to London!" or "I've been to Paris!"

Flo jo they are all good questions because it would be difficult in France not knowing any French. Im possibly going March next year, i know both these cities are very cold anytime of the year let alone in the winter.

In answer to your question Ka Jo Paris and London are possibly the two most famous cities on Earth so id be quite happy to say ive been to one just as much as the other

Decision Decision

I cast my vote for Paris. First in march the weather is much better there than in London.
Second you still have time to brush up on your french or at least learn a couple of sentences.
Third as you are on a budget Paris is cheaper than London (but still it´s a capital so it´s not cheap).
Paris is smaller so you can go from one site to the other walking.
Tube is pretty cheap too.
Being in Paris you will have more the feeling of your travel as you will be hearing a foreign language and Paris is so different to US.

I hope the londonners wont get piss off. I love London but you have to make choice in life.

I prefer Paris! Much more to see and the buildings all around are simply more beautifull....
