Hej everyone !
I just came back from south of france :) and i was delighted to find in my mailbox a lot of sands from where you went this summer, it's very nice of you ! I put them all in my collection, with labels to know where they come from.
If you want to help me, you can send me some sand from where you live if you live next to a beach or you can send me sand from your next vacation...
All you have to do is PM me if you're interested, i'll send you my adress !

The black sand from Panama and the Mississippi River island sand should be there in 4-7 days - so said the post office lady yesterday. And, the centrifuge tubes are labeled - I just hope you can read my printing... If not, let me know and I will post or PM the information to you. ;)

Also, my apologies for not sending them sooner!!!!! I've had them packaged up for some time and just kept forgetting to grab the box when I would go to town! Bad Isa!!!

You know, i think it is actually against the law to send soil or sand- same thing, through the mail. something with introducing foriegn bugs or animals into other countries.

I thought the same thing but when asked if it contained "liquids, hazardous materials, etc" - I explained it was sand and why I was sending it. She said that was fine and it was not illegal to send FROM the US. I even wrote what the real content was on the custom form. I guess we'll see if the French postal service/customs let it through.

Olivier, please post to say if the package arrives or not...

Hej
i'm sorry i couldn't answer quicker, but TP kept refusing me to login...
I will tell you when i get you package isa, i don't think there will be any problem with the french post office, they are quite cool with anything you send... And if the sand is dry, i don't think anything could survive in the plane to france, they don't make letters confortable ^^.

Since I used 50cc plastic centrifuge tubes, if they x-ray it, they may open it... All they are going to find is very dry sand. I hope it makes it through!!! ;)
