The majority has spoken. The TP meetup will take place on Saturday, 23rd September 2006.

Sorry for the delay, it was a bank holiday here yesterday.

Anybody looking for accomodation, did you look into B&Bs as well?

Further details will be posted/PMed closer to the event.

Im waiting on confirmation for a hotel - BEST WESTERN ASHLING this is what the website l booked on says....

"The Best Western Ashling hotel is siuated beside the River Liffey and just minutes from Dublin city Centre. The Ashling is renowned for its friendliness and comfort. Within walking distance are some of the capital's most famous sights including the National Museum, Four Coourts, Guinness Brewery, Phoenix Park, Temple Bar and Old Jameson Distillery in smithfield. The Ashlilng is adjacent to Heuston Inter City Rail Staion. There is a frequent""Airlink"" bus service from the airport to Heuston Station." [from hotelsrus.com website]

The web link is http://www.hotelsrus.com/search.php?fn=hotelinfo&pid=200608081228020.757163001155040082408774

Room rate for double with breakfast is £86 although l am waiting to hear back to see if room is available. There is also car parking. Hopefully this will be available to book!!

So now we are sorted for dates - whats the plan of action for the day PHIL!!

Also - Paul & l will be driving down from Belfast that morning therefore if anyone needs picking up enroute give me a shout - we are coming from the North (Belfast) down to Dublin. We will be staying over though so not going back up until the Sunday. Or if it works cheaper to fly into Belfast for some we could pick you up from the airports dont live THAT far away from either of them!

In case anyone missed it in the other thread, Neal and I stayed at Botanic View in Dublin. Double occupancy with breakfast is only abot 60 Euro a night. It was a good deal - even if I didn't eat the blood sausage. Blech.

This may be useful, Nikki (Rrrrrrrraven) insists on posting the Off Topic Meetup-Thread only:

"check out -

Maple Hotel
Isaacs (theres a hostel & hotel) still has rooms that weekend 6 bed mixed dorm - €16.50
Jacobs Inn

the best way to search for places in dublin is to use google.ie , its giving better options at the moment when compared with google.com, also look for bnb and there is plenty of sites with budget accomodation..........let me know if you're stuck"
