Hey there

il be out in india from mid October till the end of Feb, wondering who else will be gracing india at the time.

Im 22, easy going artist/photographer and adore independent travelling. Im not looking for a companion for my whole trip, more curious as to who will be where and when in order to stop off, travel for a little with or just meet some interesting people along the way.

Take care

hey Natalia!

It's likely i'll be nearby for a while around about the time you're there, making my own way to or from Nepal & possibly doing a trek of somekind with a tour company or a GAP activity project maybe.

I'm going solo too, but my plans are still in progress, i'm still determining my route, nowhere near to buying the ticket yet so i can't be specific at all! I'm hoping to travel from late oct/nov for around six months (more or less depending on how my £££ goes)

Where abouts in India are you headed, do you know exactly? Or are you going to see where it takes you when you're there?

x

I will be in India in January. At the moment I can't be more specific than that as I have not really decided what my plan is yet. Always willing to meet up with other travellers....

cheers,
Alex

Hey Natalia,

I'm flying into Mumbai at the beginning of October, no solid plans as yet but I'll be focusing my time on the south (down to Kerala at some stage, will be stopping off in Goa I should imagine, would like to make it to Ooty too but all other plans will develop as and when I guess)...flight from Bangalore to Bangkok booked for the end of January, but I've got a pretty open mind right now so it's highly likely dates/plans etc etc will change...anyway yeah that's me, give us a shout if this interests you, cheers.

Thank you all for your fast reply’s...

As for my plans, il be flying in to Delhi Oct 17, then gradually working my way across to Varanasi, then my plan is to hopefully be in Goa for Christmas/new years.

Iv (foolishly!?!?) told my parents that they can come out and visit me around christmas time in Goa... I spent a year in mexico during 2005 and didn’t let them come out once, so i kind of owe it to them, they really suffer with me and my travels!

But other than Goa, i have no set plans of going or having to be anywhere, obviously there are places i want to visit, Kerala, Varanesi, climb Matheran etc etc... being just a few on the list. but i know that 4/5 months isnt all that long, so im quite realistic about the fact i really wont get to see it all.

Oh well... i'l just have to come back to India for a second trip then wont i! boo hoo ;)

If you guys have any finalised plans, or will be about Goa at christmas, let me know, it would be lovely to meet up and share stories over some tea/beer

hey lanatalia,
I'm based in the city of Bangalore (in the state of Karnataka) though I'm originally from Kerala & honestly, 4 - 5 months is long enough to cover pretty much most of the tourist spots in India. Especially from Goa, coming down South isn't that big of a deal, timewise. That is unless, you want to spend months in Goa. You could go to Kerala, because Oct - March, the weather is great.

Anyway, post again once your plans are finalized. Most importantly, your budget

Whatsup Natalia? My name is Ryan, Im gonna be going to school until december 14 2006 in Jaipur, I have been saving all my money and after school is over I plan to travel in India and maybe Thailand until my money runs out. My dad is going to visit me for two weeks until the very beggining of January and then I could really use a travel buddy, I have a list of places I would like to see but I am completely open to whatever, India is a one of a kind place and I just want to spend time there and get a real feeling for the culture wherever I go.
Anyways, if you are going to be over there it would be worth it too at least get together and share info/tips and travel stories.
