I was teaching them last year
(near the Shaolin Temple)
They are all majoring in English and want to help foreigners travel in China, go anywhere, do anything just cover their expenses and give them a bit of pocket money and they will make sure that you have the best trip possible. Save you loads of money, show you the real China, teach you Chinese anything really.
It is a nice idea but I highly doubt anyone that spends time on this site can afford to to pay for another persons expenses on top of their own.
Hi thanks for the message
I would really appreciate any more comments about personalchinaguide.com, I really need to know what is off-putting and what is attractive about it.
We are just starting it and only started promoting/advertising in the last few days. People have shown interest but I agree with you that for a single traveller it might be a bit too expensive.
Some of my students are very keen to travel and would work for a lot cheaper than $15/£8/120Yuan (Half or even a quarter) some even want to do it for free. Since they are paid directly by the traveller and keep all the money, there is no problem with this at all. However I thought that I would advertise it as 120 Yuan per day because for some travellers it would mean saving a lot of money at the same time as making sure that the guide gets a good wage for working so hard.
If you are interested or know anyone who might be interested please contact me (ordinary or special prices).
