I’ve just booked over the phone an airplane ticket at elong which, they’ve told me, will be delivered at the hotel I’ll be staying in Beijing.
They’ve e-mailed me a “Cardholder Authorization Letter” with the payment’s details that I am supposed to sign and e-mail back along the back of my credit card.
I haven’t done this yet as it sounds funny to say the least.
Has anybody done this before?
Any good/bad experiences at elong?
Thanks a lot,

I haven't purchased from elong myself but many friends have. I think they prefer cash and it's easier. Yes it does sound shady. Apparently some guy on a motorbike will drive up and give you the ticket while you hand him over the $. I suggest cash since you don't pay until you get the ticket, but I think credit is fine.
