COLUMBIA - equador border popayan and san augustin

Hello i would like to go from quito to s.augustin in columbia but i can understand if it's really dangerous do go there by bus or not.

you should always fly through or to colombia, its very dangerous by bus, or so i have heard. Even the tourist websites recomend that.
And its spelled COLOMBIA
