hi folks!
i am going to malaysia in september and have just 2 weeks. a little bit short. i know i will start and end my trip in KL.
i am only interested in east coast and particularly islands.
i dont really know if i should skip tioman or not. are there white sand beaches on tioman??someone have said to me that beaches on tioman are not as good as on other islands.
i know for sure i will visit perhentians but there are plenty other islands too ,i have read good reviews about lang tengah and pemanggil.what do you suggest?? are these islands simmilar to each other ??
i appreciate yr answers

hi hi...

i remember a friend went to lang tengah a couple months back.. i was told the beach was great.. i'm quite sure you can skip tioman island..

the few island you can consider..
- Redang
- Perhentian
- Lang Tengah
- Gemia Island

In fact she hopped from Lang Tengah to Redang/ Perhentian. She spend a week there...

It's too bad you are only interested in the East Coast. Penang is a great city, Melaka has an interesting history, and the Cameron Highlands are great. I've also heard great things about the National Parks with some great old jungles, though I've never been.

There is also a small island off the west coast called Pankor. Neat little island. Easy to get to from Ipoh. Check it out.
Have a good one

Melaka, Penang is good place as well, historical city. Place to eat and fun.

Hi Botvid,

See my reply to thread on "east coast islands malaysia - can anyone compare? | Malaysia "...and if you wish to know more, a PM will do.

Cheers.
