Hello!
Im also trying to organise a switzerland 2 day visit! I wanted to stay in either luzern or interlaken but its hard to know whats best!
All i know is that the trip to Jungfrau is incredibly expesice- like about 150francs or something like that and its cheaper if you take the first train out early in the morning -6 am or so and then leave by noon.
You will probably have to take the train there and then change over. Do u have a eurail pass? If you do this will save u some money as i think you get a discount...you might get one with a swiss pass too but it varies. As these dont often cover cable cars and mountain trains etc.
Hope that helps!

Mount Titlis is a distance from Lucerne. For this mountain, it's best to stay in the town of Engelberg. From here you can literally walk from your hotel to the cable car.

I don't think there are cable cars in Lucerne itself.
