What is the algorithm that TP uses to determine member status???

Secret. :D

It depends on the number and quality of posts in the actual travel-related forums (not the community ones like the off-topic forum), the number of featured photos, the number of blog posts (and especially featured blog posts), and a couple of other things like that.

Nice try - it won't work! You can't beat the system! You are destined to be the first budding member with 2000 posts!

So how come I'm not a travel guru yet?

Hi mikey

I asked around and apparently the petition wont work either. Tho I had another idea. You can answer all the thread in the the best way you can before anyone else, giving so many good advises than they will all beg you to be a travel guru, and may be THE travel guru.

What about that.

No, I think what it comes down to is that the moderators and gurus are all afraid of me because I'm so handsome.

Handsome? We thought you were a girl.

There are many factors. One thing worth noting is that posts in the Off Topic forum aren't considered at all though. ;)
