I will be traveling to London Aug. 18-20. I need to travel both to Brighton and to Leicester during this time. What is the nest way without having a car? Train??? If so, please help me to know which train line to take and where in London I can pick up the train.

Thanks!

Starbuck

Hi,

To Brighton there are regular trains every half an hour or so from Victoria Station.

For Leicester go from St Pancras Station (next door to Kings Cross Station). Trains run about every half an hour.

This web page seems to have some good timetable info: www.transportdirect.info

Hope this helps,

Steve

Also check out www.nationalrail.co.uk as it will have the timetables and the prices of tickets.

Catch the train from Victoria in London to get to Brighton. It's about an hour's trip, and the station in Brighton is central to the town. Don't even consider driving. I did it once and it took almost three hours, due to London's shocking traffic. I've done the train trip many times and it's dead easy.

For Leicester, have a look at 6 pound fares at:
