Im flying with Gulf Air going to Bangkok on the 1st Sept, stopping half way in Muscat. Are the airline any good on economy? im hopeing for a pretty comfotable flight, films and stuff but not sure what to expect as its economy, rubbish leg room etc. its a long old flight (furthest ive ever been) so if free drinks are a go go then it would be awesome!!

I flew with Gulf Air to Sydney last year, also in economy class. The food wasn't anything to wow at, though drinks were okay and service was pretty decent too - I doubt they stint on drinks. The seats had a bit more legroom (certainly more than Malaysian Airlines, ugh) and the flight I was on wasn't full, so I was able to stretch out quite comfortably (this can be done if you nicely ask at the check-in whether you can have the row to yourself).

Hope that helps.

I flew with this airlines (economy class) in a short flight from BKK to Hong Kong, and I think it is a good airlines. Foods are okay and staff attentive. Depending on aircraft you board, you may have personal LCD screen for each economy seat.

Hello,

I flew 3 times with gulf airlines.
I had no complaints.
I flew from paris to bangkok, the food is ok (not luxury) and you have a lot of drinks.
The stop in muscat is OK, you do not have to wait a long time. And it is good to stretch the legs.

enjoy your trip

Hi Andy

Don't drink too much alcohol, as you will feel very poorly on your first day or two of your holiday, it's not worth it. Try and drink at least one litre water in the air, you won't regret it! As the air is so dry in the cabin, you dehydrate doubly (once from the alcohol, once from the aircon, so water is a must - and you won't need to use the bathroom too often, due to the dry conditions ;)).
