Best town in Europe to Party in !!!!????

My friend has just split up with his girlfriend and wants to party in europe for a couple of months somewhere where theres lots of backpackers, i dont know much about europe so any ideas would be great.

Amsterdam and Berlin, and Prague were the best places to party that I found when I was in Europe earlier this summer. All three have lots of backpackers.

While cities mentioned above may boast different sights and developed entertainment infrastructure, Minsk (the capital of Belarus) has at least two advantages: the choice of places to have fun (e.g. nightclubs, discos, casinos) is extremely high, you can taste anything and try everything at rock-bottom price, it is very easy to get here and find an affordable place to stay at.
Moreover, Belarusian people are renowned for their hospitality, and what is also important - girls are very beautiful here.
You can forget about the accident by taking up some sport (like skydiving or horseracing) or living in some quiet place out of city enjoying nature and vod***.

ah, well you have probably 2 choices - Berlin and/or Istanbul.
Berlin - mainly East Berlin has the coolest vibe too it. But Istanbul, while barely in Europe - is a fantastic city at night.

errr, London is a close third as well.

If he wants it "not so expensive", Berlin and Prague. But the ultimative party spots in Europe in summer are all along the Mediterranean shoreline in resort towns for package tourists. Dubrovnik in Croatia, Lloret de Mar in Spain and most noteably Palma de Mallorca, Mallorca, Spain. Siofok on the Balaton in Hungary is popular with Austrian students and could easily be combined with a trip to Budapest and Vienna. It is also one of the cheapest places mentioned.

My opinion on this is, that you can't really say what is the best city to party.
It happend to me a couple times, that I was overwhelmed by the choice there was to hang out in big cities...and I got distracted by looking for the very best place.
The best nights out I had in rather small places, where there were not many places to go to.

some of the best parties I had, where in:
Brasov, Romania
Gort, Ireland
Reschen, Italy
Wengen, Switzerland

In my opinion "Mediterranean shoreline in resort towns for package tourists" is the worst place to party - Medi Shoreline, Resort Towns and Package tourists are three things I avoid when choosing where to party

So each have their own taste. Berlin is great for cool, chic bars and artists spaces from converted blown-out buildings. Istanbul has a great vibe for its local dance scene and raves.

Aleah is right too - the best are sometimes the smallest - Vilnius, Lithuania is a great choice as well -small and easy to get around and meet locals.

Of course depend what "having fun" means to you...
My advice is to visit ALSO Cracow... Why? Try with google: "cracow night life" and you'll see why
Hundreds of underground pubs & discos all kinds of music, live concerts, specific climates, one of the best beers on the world, really beautiful girls, high-level restaurants, luxury hotels, what do you need more? Cultural experiences? You'll find a lot of them here.
I think that the night life here is the same nice like in Prague (or even more, but maybe I'm not really objective as it's my native city) but it's much cheaper.
At the moment I'm living in Rome... capitol and so on, so I thought that I'll find much more fun here... And you know what? I just cant wait to come back to my city!!!
You want to have a fun & don't want it to be expensive? So Cracow is the right place! Salutes and good luck!

Best night out ever was in Limassol, Cyprus - total tourist place, but they don't use measures

Dublin is pretty good though can be expensive, l must put in a vote for Belfast l suppose! And l really loved Barcelona too really cool city!
