It is to us human being where he is will never be satisfied with it and all the rest of the things that other people got is what we want. We will never be satisfied with what we have and nothing we have or experiance will be enought. People int the desert would prefer to be in a cold climate country. People in cold climate country will want to be in a warm climate country. So can we say any particular place has it all when we can never satisfy with it all.

Auckland is one of the worlds 'largest' cities...

can someone tell the boy how wrong he is about this

He's right. He's also joking with you, and you took the bait, line and sinker. :)

Measured in square kilometers, Auckland is one of the largest cities in the world (1,086 km² according to wikipedia. For comparison, Los Angeles clocks in at 1,290.6 km²)

I'm starting to dislike threads like these, btw. Too many people who feel they must disagree with others' opinions, rather than sticking to giving their own. But for whatever it's worth, going by the criteria that I personally consider important (there's really only two: availability of cheesecake and of Lake Tekapo - what more could you want?), New Zealand "has it all". :)

You missed out Speights beer, Central Otago, the Catlans, Westland, the West Coast.
and Dunedin is one of if not the largest city by size 3314.8km² about 3 times the size of Auckland with only a 10th the population.
City of sails or the pretty city? - mine is Dunedin the pretty city

I heard Mount Isa, Australia, is the biggest municipality in the world, although you can't really say Mount Isa itself is a city;).

Unbiased that I am....I reckon Wales has it all and frankly I'm quite shocked that more people on this message board :

a. Havn't suggested it also
b. Haven't been there
c. Don't know where it is
d. Think it's in England
e. Think it's the largest mammal in the world

Anyway,
"Gods Country" (and I feel it is the only country that you can call this as in the Welsh language you can't swear ... well... you can call someone "a mother of a goat" should you wish, but that's a different story)

Anwyay,
It has Mountains, nice locals, it's own culture, Plenty of sheep for when you get bored (sorry... feel tired... i.e. to Count!)
Lovely Beaches, Coal (and associated Coal miners and mines... not so many these days though)
ummmmmm.....
The Longest place name in the world :

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychllyndrobwychllantyseilioggogogoch

King Arthur could have been Welsh??? (possibly)
It was never fully invaded by the Romans (much like Scotland though... damn!)
has many pubs and apparently one or two "disco's" too!
ummmmmmmm.......
I'm from there!

so... there you have it !

What more could you want in a country... blinking New Zealand I ask you??? We won't even mention Rugby shall we.........

Anyway, luckily for you Kiwi's and Kiwi Lovers out there Wales is still only classified as a Principality (since we got kicked in by our "lovely" neighbours a few centuries ago!) therefore we can't enter this competition..... ya lucky buggers

Taffski

PS I think Argentina and the US come a close second
PPS OK...OK.... and New Zealand... there I said it ! Where's my coat

HA! I knew we'd find your weakness sooner or later!!!!!!

*laughs* Drat, you got me. I guess that's going to put an end to my surreptious chocolate-for-cheesecake laundering program.

... which means that from now on, I'll expect all bribes to be delivered in cheesecake!

I think Greece is a country that has it all.

From a historical point of view, Greece is famous for its great history- a history of over 14000 years, with masterpieces of Art like the Acropolis or the palace of Knossos in Crete.

Also, Greece is the ideal summer destination, since most of the time it is summer in Greece and 99.9% of the greek beaches satisfy the European Union’s minimum requirements. Furthermore, Greece has around 1400 islands in total; 169 of them are inhabited, so there is plenty of variety for you to choose from! Here is some valuable information about the most famous island of Greeece:
-snip-

But consider Greece also for your winter vacation.
Great ski resorts are Mount Helmos in Kalavrita,Peloponnes and Mount Parnassos or Mount Pelion in Central Greece, just to mention a few.

Concerning the people themselves, no need to say a lot, since the greeks are famous for their friendliness and hospitality.;)

Yes Taffski, Wales is BEAUTIFUL. I have only been there once and didn't see it all, but I plan on going back and have recommended it to a lot of people. Did the canal boat thing and loved it. The language is wonderful, although WAY beyond my linquistic abilities!!! The people were charming and friendly and the landscape took my breath away!!

If I had to find something that is not described with an explative it would be about the food. Not the best... but maybe I just didn't get to the right places. Thanks for mentioning it

NEW ZEALAND all the way!!! I have traveled a lot and I can honestly say nothing compares. It has the beauty of rugged mountains and glaciers; rolling hills that go on forever, amazing beaches with mountains in the background; the people are laid back; the nightlife is awesome; the wildlife is incredible. No where else can you find such unique geographical beauty all within a small area. It is a MUST!

I want to say one thing about the comments made on behalf of the USA. I am very dissappointed with how citizens of this country so easily dimiss America as being a horrible spiteful country. I am ashamed that men are risking their lives over seas for people like you. I get it that not everyone agrees with our President, and that is fine, in fact freedom of speech is what makes our country great. I however think it is pathetic to call yourself a citizen of the US and yet talk bad about your country to everyone else. People like this need to leave; go to France or wherever it is you want to go, but don't stay here and bash America as if we have never done anything postive. Maybe peope like this need to look at the facts and realize that we are not the ones blowing up buildings and killing people in the name of terror; despite what you might think, I believe that the majority of Americans want to help people and that includes ALL people. Everyone deserves a life of freedom. Is that really so wrong?
