I may be moving to Mumbai at the end of this year, although it isn't certain yet. It all sounds very exciting, but I actually don't know very much about the place really. It would be great if people could give me advice on things to do, charity opportunities, great places to see, good places to eat and go out to, sport clubs, etc. Any info would be muchly appreciated.

I have been staying in Mumbai a few weeks ago. It is a great place where you can have anything. The extremes and contradications are all very present in Mumbai. Very rich and very poor are living together. It is also very clear that the Britisch have been here. You can see that in the architecture but also the Britisch double-decker busses are still driving. It is a very crowded city, though. Mumbai has around 16 million inhabitants (that is the official number, probably more with people living in self-build houses). I think you will enjoy there.
