Hiya
Just wondering if anyone can advise. Are webcams in internet cafes widely used in China, Oz, NZ and S.America. Are they common or rare? Just thinking how I'm going to stay in touch with family and it'd be cool to do it via webcam!

Not sure how common webcams are in those countries, I know in Thailand nearly every internet cafe had webcams. Have you thought of Skype to keep in touch? if your friends and family have broadband (they will have to buy a microphone to attach to their PC) then it'll be easy to keep in touch. It's free to use, that's what I am planning to use with my parents when we go away. I think you will be able to use a webcam in conjunction with it.

I didn't really notice many webcams when I visisted internet cafes in New Zealand, but it was three years ago things might have changed.
