I'm planning a trip to the Victoria falls (zambia/zimbabwe) and the Okavango delta (botswana) soon. (we'll drive from windhoek, namibia, through the caprivi strip to zambia, and back from the falls to maun, botswana: the gateway to the delta)
Has anybody been in that area? what are the do's and dont's, where should I go? Any advice and/or personal experience welcome! Thanks!
Did a similar trip and stayed at the Grotto backpackers in Livingstone, great place and you can book the Zambeezie White Water Rafting tours from there - this is an absolute must! If you do not see much Rhino and want to do more, they also aranged an excellent walking Rhino tour!
Walk over the fals bridge into Vic Falls town, go to the market, they sell the cheapest artifacts in africa (apparently).
Grotto backpackers - really good value, they allow campers too if you have your own tent as we did!
We also did an excellent booze cruise at sunset too - got very very drunk, for little little money (considering what we drank anyway)
