Travel Forums Travel Companions Europe in the autumn??

I've been saving for a while now and had planned to travel round Europe this October with my boyfriend and a couple of his mates.
My plans have now fallen through because the b@stard has dumped me.

So I was wondering if anyone has plans to inter-rail / travel round Europe in early autumn???
I don't really fancy going on my own, and at present my mates are all settled in their jobs etc so don't really fancing travelling...
Would love to hear from anyone with plans or ambitions to go in autumn this year

I will be going to Spain in October. I'm not sure how long I'll be staying, or where in particular I'll be going. I'm trying to stay flexible so that I can travel around as I please. I was supposed to be going with a friend of mine, but her plans have changed and so I am now on my own. :) I'm a 24 yr old female from Florida, USA. And apparently we already have something in common because I work in clinical research, as well. Hope all goes well for you. Let me know if you have any plans to make it out to Spain, and maybe we can meet up.

The places I was hoping to go to are: Dijon, Troyes for defo in France and then maybe a few other places, then Switzerland and then Milan, Rome, Verona, Venice, and then a bit of Eastern Europe - definately Prague, then maybe Germany and if I have any time or money I'd really like to see a bit of Sweden and Norway.
I wasn't planning on going to Spain but maybe I will take a detour.... :)

I will be visiting my grandparents in europe in August and migh be up for a bit of a tour of europe around September time. If you like we can exchange email addresses and keep in touch. I can get by in German language and probably get by in a few eastern europian languages too.
It would be nice to do a bit of water skying, it's great fun. Cheers

Hi all,

My name is Patrick I'm 25yo from the states, I just graduated from grad school, and I will be travelling in Europe from the 1st week in September-the 4th week in November. The only specific dates I have planned are to be in Munich Sept 17-19 for the opening weekend of Oktoberfest. I may even have an extra be booked for a fellow travller that weekend (my friend dropped out on me).

After that I'd like to do Eastern Europe/Turkey/Greece unitl about mid Oct (No solid plans).

From Mid Oct-Mid Nov I would then probably do Italy/Spain/France/Amsterdam (Again no solid plans).

Finally I want to finish up the last week in Ireland, where I'm flying out.

So if anybody plans on being in the same areas during the same time periods, it would be great to meet some people.

I know these dates aren't very specific, but if you want to talk more details just leave a post and I'd be happy to get back to you.

Hey to everyone who has posted replies to the original message!!
My plans have changed since I posted this topic, I have decided to leave travelling around Europe and save up to go to New Zealand for a year in March. I really wanted to go to Europe, but I don't think a month would be enough for me, so I have decided to go further away and stay for longer. I will be working in France over the summer (going in 3 weeks -can't wait !!!)
Hope you all manage to get away and travel round Europe - good luck to y'all!!!! ;)
