Dude,Dude,Dude....what are you thinking? 3 days? I read your other post and I'm telling you not to worry about Morocco. It's a bit....wild once in a great while and VERY exotic in it's own way but YOU CAN"T MISS IT. I understand how you feel cause I had heard all these stories before I went the first time in 1997(after putting it off during numerous vists to Spain), now I love the place. This is what you do, take the ferry from Spain to Tangiers IN THE MORNING. I would get a taxi straight to the train station and head out for either Fez (fes) or Marrakech (if you get in early enough I would shoot for Marrakech). Spend at least 3 days there (a magical place). If you head out to the Tishca (sp?) Hotel and find the driver Hadj (just ask the gang out front for him or at the front desk) he can take you out to the desert or where ever you wanna go. He speaks great english (French is Morocco's second language) and is a super nice guy. He used to drive around singer Robert Plant (Led Zep) - has a thousand stories (Plant goes to Morocco A LOT). After Marrakech take the train to Fez (super cheap) and spend at least 2 days there (that's were the beautiful U2 video "Mysterious Ways" was shot). After Fez I would go spend a couple days in Tangiers and then back to Spain (be sure to go to Gibralter for the day). This trip is gonna be over a week long but you gotta go for it. If you're worried about politics learn how to say something neg and short about Bush in arabic and you'll be fine.(or you can say "Bush merde" with a thumbs down sign. Merde is sh*t in French, they'll get it) . Have your girlfriend dress a bit modest - no shorts, tank tops - it just shows respect if she covers up a bit. Go and have a good time. Don't let Tangiers freak you out, just get to Marrakech ASAP where you will find the center of the wonder of Morocco. Zoom '' P.S. Skip Casablanca IMO...

3 days in Morocco. I think you have enough time just to cover Marrakech.

By the time you get to the Sahara, you'd need to head home. Unless you plan to spend 2 weeks in Morocco, I wouldn't make a trip out to the Sahara if I were you. There's more to see in Morocco than just deserts.

I just want to say that 3
days to go to sahara and see a city is a short time! Marrocco is one of the country you should take time to speak to people, do things, etc. It is really mediterrannean and africa for that! I do'nt know if you can understand what I mean. I am half marrocan (my father is). In some countries you can do (like in france) a lot of things in fews days, but in Marroco, you will miss the atmosphere (if I can say that) of the country and its inhabitants to try to do lot of things in few time! That's my point of view. Do not book too many thing there, take also time to do things!!

you can also go to ESSAOUIRA (beautifull city!!) or AGADIR. AGADIR is not the most beautifull city in Marroco, but from there you can go to in some beautifull village more specific of Marroco and Maghreb and go easily to sahara.

3 days will be just enough to absorb Marrakesh and the airport isclose to town while Casablanca (which is a great movie) is just another city and the airport is a long way out of town.
I personally love Marrakesh and Rabat but Rabat won't give you the full feels of the Souks and the Square that you will get in Marrakesh. And yes, you can see the tanneries in Marrakesh, despite what anyone will tell you.
