Has anyone been to Iceland in winter? Did you see the aurora boreal? How was it? What can you do at this time of the year?

thanks.

I live in Iceland all year round and have seen Aurora Borealis in January, but it is never guarenteed that you will see them.
If you come here in winter, have a look at some of the tours that this company has. They have great day-long tours and even one Northern Lights tour.

I'm not really good at the touristy type stuff in Iceland, but I am good at pointing to other people that are. So have a look at this site, it has a lot of info about Reykjavik and things to do in Iceland.

If it is the northern lights you want, Lappland is another good option. I was there Xmas 2005 and the lights were just amazing.
