alexlamb has indicated that this thread is about Italy

I'm competing in the Florence Marathon in November and our training program is putting us up in a nice 4 star hotel but only for one night past the actual marathon (check in Friday, run Sunday, check out Monday). It's a great hotel but my boyfriend and I are on a budget. We are travelling for two more weeks after Florence and staying in hostels the whole time.

Can anyone recommend a nice comfortable hotel that is perhaps around 60-90 Euros a night in Florence? We would like some privacy and comfort as we'll certainly be sore and tired.

Any recommendations would be very helpful and if those rates are completely unreasonable- please let me know that, too.

Cheers,

Alex

Alex, the Hotel Caravaggio http://caravaggio.hotelinfirenze.com is in a convenient area within walking distance from the train station, was clean, rooms large and fairly quiet, during my stay in March. The breakfast was good too. According to their website, rates in November for a double are 69 Euro.

Hi.

I'd definitly reccomend Accademia House B&B. We stayed there for two nights. The rooms are great, the location is good, Marco Vitti, the owner was really helpful and it included breakfast in a cafe across the street (one drink + one sandwich).

Enjoy your trip. I stayed in nice cheap places in Siena and Cinque Terre, too. If you need it. Let me know.
